Racism Can be Vanquished By Christian Love

Updated: Sep 30, 2020

May God make Christians an instrument of His Peace in western countries, and where there is Hate, let them sow Love. May the light of their Christian Love shine and replace the evil darkness of racial Hate and violence.

The recent violence against visible minorities, especially the targeting and cruel murders of Blacks and Indigenous people in western countries, has inspired global protests. Whites' massive participation, especially youths, showed that they wanted the hate-generated brutal violence to stop.

Some racist police officers and politicians generate Hate and brutal violence, and some anarchist protesters indulge in arson and vandalism. Christianity preaches Love and Peace, and the majority of people in western countries identify themselves as Christians. However, some Christians do not practice Love and Peace. Therefore, the larger group of Christians should not stay silent, but they should play an influential role as peacemakers.

Love is an essential pillar of Christian teachings. Lord Jesus Christ (Ruh Allah Issa/Bhagwan Yeshu Masih) commanded his followers:

"Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (1)

"Love your neighbor as yourself." (2)

"Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching." (3)

Apostle John exhorted the Christians to love each other:

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for Love comes from God. Every one who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is Love." (4)

"God is Love. Whoever lives in Love lives in God, and God in them." (5)

"Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar." (6)

"Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness." (7)

Apostle Paul exclaimed:

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal." (8)

"Love never fails." (9)

"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in Love. Honor one another above yourselves." (10)

St Francis of Assisi prayed, "Lord, make me an instrument of Your Peace! Where there is hatred let me sow Love."

Evangelist Rex Humbard rightly said, "Most of us are thermometers, reflecting our environment. God wants us to be thermostats, affecting it." May God make Christians an instrument of His Peace in western countries, and where there is Hate, let them sow Love. May the light of their Christian Love shine and replace the evil darkness of racial Hate and violence. By this, may everyone know that they are Jesus Christ's disciples.

Blessing: May God Bless You, Your Family and Friends, and Make You A Blessing to Others.
